Pre-Order the Kinect for Windows v2 Sensor
Kinect for Windows v2 sensors are now available for purchase during a pre-order period in 22 countries, before general availability later this year. Get a head start using the v2 sensor's new and improved features, including increased depth-sensing capabilities, full 1080p video, improved skeletal tracking, and enhanced infrared.


Develop Locally, See Changes Instantly on Your Device: PhoneGap Developer App for Windows Phone 8
The PhoneGap Developer App aims to lower the barrier of entry to creating apps. Immediately preview your app on a device without installing platform SDKs, registering devices, or even compiling code. Plus, you have full access to the official PhoneGap APIs.

The PhoneGap Developer App is now available on the Windows Phone Store. It supports Windows Phone 8 and the upcoming 8.1 update.

Possibly the most exciting aspect of this announcement is that you can now develop your apps on an OS X machine and preview on a Windows Phone device.


Get a Head Start on v2 at the Kinect for Windows Hackathon
June 21 - 22, New York City, NY
The Kinect team will be there with plenty of pre-release v2 sensors for people to create interactive applications. In addition to the Kinect v2 sensors and SDK, they'll have two new, cutting-edge things with us: near-field sensors and Kinect Ripple.

Attendees will be able to build desktop or Windows Store apps using C++, C#, VB, even pure HTML and JavaScript. Plus we'll have support for getting Kinect data right into Unity3D, openFrameworks, and Cinder.
